We offer three different sedation options for our patients. The first, and most common is nitrous oxide, commonly referred to as laughing gas. Nitrous oxide is administered to patients through a face mask placed over their nose and mouth. The gas is then inhaled by the patient, under the supervision of our sedation professionals. Laughing gas is designed to put patients in a dream-like state, while remaining awake. Nitrous oxide helps patients to feel calm and at ease, and not fully aware of their surroundings. As a result, procedures can be complete on anxious or fearful patients without inducing additional stress.
We also offer oral sedation, medication taken orally prior to the procedure. The medication, acts much like nitrous oxide, putting patients in a calm, dream-like state while remaining awake. Again, the dental appointment can commence while the patient is still awake, but not fully cognitive, thus eliminating any stresses caused by the appointment or procedure.
Embracing the principles of Sedation Dentistry, we provide various options to cater to different needs. For routine cases, local anesthesia suffices, while for more complex or detailed procedures, we present the choice of Intravenous Sedation. Administered by our skilled sedation professionals, Intravenous Sedation aims to induce a restful state, allowing patients to essentially ‘blink’ through their dental appointments. Our Sedation Dentistry offerings ensure that individuals facing dental fear, anxiety, or stress find the comfort they seek during any procedure.
