Children's Teeth |
| |
Ideal time for child to see a dentist is six months after your child's first (primary) teeth erupt. This time frame is a perfect opportunity for the dentist to carefully examine the development of your child's mouth. Because dental problems often start early, the sooner the visit the better. To safeguard against problems such as baby bottle tooth decay, teething irritations, gum disease, and prolonged thumb-sucking, our dentist can provide or recommend special preventive care.
Practice good oral hygiene with your child at home. Help your child and supervise while he/she brushes to confirm they are doing it properly. Children don't understand the consequences of not brushing their teeth and eating to many candies. Limit your child's sugar intake and never allow a child/baby to go to bed with a bottle filled with milk, juice or anything containing sugar. |
